Another source for various pieces in the 1972 book, Millville The First 200 Years, came from the Lawton's. Rae Lawton, among other things, was a rural postman. It gave him an experience with the local post office operations and good knowledge of the trains that for years brought the mail to town. They arrived in May of 1972. I used liberally from these notes. I showed them to Don Watts, the postmaster at the time and he wrote the information on the bottom of page 4 and page 5. The other markings on the letters are my notes for the book.
